Berkeley Heights hosts Hispanic Heritage Month flag raising Sept. 15

Berkeley Heights Township will raise a flag for Hispanic Heritage Month at Town Hall on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.

Mayor Angie Devanney and the Berkeley Heights Township Council will join community members at the flagpole outside Town Hall, 29 Park Ave., for the ceremony, the township announced on X. The event is open to all residents.

The flag raising marks the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.

Berkeley Heights has held similar ceremonies at Town Hall throughout 2026, including a Black History Month flag raising on Feb. 3 and an Irish Heritage flag raising on March 16, both led by Devanney and the Township Council.
