Berkeley Heights families can trick-or-treat among decorated car trunks Saturday, Oct. 24, when the annual Trunk or Treat takes over the municipal parking lot at 29 Park Avenue.

Berkeley Heights PBA Local 144, the local police officers' union, is hosting the event, according to a township newsflash. Trunk decorating begins at 10 a.m., with trick-or-treating running from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Families who want to participate must decorate their vehicle trunks and bring treats to share with other participants. Costumes are encouraged.

The township's municipal government account on X called the event a "beloved BH tradition organized by the Berkeley Heights Police." The newsflash credits PBA Local 144 as the host. The PBA is running the Trunk or Treat while the Berkeley Heights Police Department is handling a separate event at the same location that morning.
