New Providence residents can walk in to the Municipal Center on Tuesday, Aug. 11, to get help with state services or raise concerns directly with Assemblyman Andrew Macurdy's staff.

The session runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. No appointment is needed.

The Borough of New Providence posted the announcement on its official website on Monday, Aug. 3, describing the session as a chance to "share your concerns, ask questions, or receive assistance with any state-related services."

It is not clear from either announcement whether Macurdy himself will attend or only members of his staff.

Macurdy, D-Summit, is a first-term assemblyman who took office in January after he and running mate Vincent Kearney defeated Republican incumbents Nancy Muñoz and Michele Matsikoudis in the November 2025 general election. He represents the 21st Legislative District, which spans 19 municipalities across four counties, including New Providence, Summit, Berkeley Heights, Chatham Borough, Chatham Township and Westfield.

He serves on the Assembly's Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee and the Science, Innovation and Technology Committee, and his district office is at 86 Summit Ave., Suite 302, in Summit.
