The New Providence Education Foundation will host its annual kindergarten mixer on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Crestview Swim Club.
The adults-only evening is open to parents of incoming kindergarteners at Salt Brook School and Allen W. Roberts School, according to TAPinto New Providence. First-grade parents who are new to the district are also welcome.
Snacks and drinks will be served.

Summit and Berkeley Heights school boards approved bell-to-bell bans on personal devices at their August meetings, and New Providence had its version up for a final vote Aug. 31, as all three districts implement a new state law requiring restrictions on student phone use starting this school year.
