Berkeley Heights rescue squad hosts Sept. 22 blood drive

Berkeley Heights residents can donate blood and pick up a $15 gift card at a drive hosted by the Berkeley Heights Volunteer Rescue Squad on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The drive runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The squad is accepting donor sign-ups through the township's website.

Berkeley Heights Township announced the event Monday, Sept. 21, on X, urging residents to claim open time slots. The Sept. 22 announcement did not list a specific address or name a blood-collection partner. A July drive at the squad's Snyder Avenue headquarters ran in partnership with the American Red Cross.

The squad has held regular drives. One co-sponsored with the Woman's Club of Berkeley Heights in October 2025 collected 31 pints.

Residents can sign up for a time slot at the township website or contact the rescue squad directly.
