New Providence senior wide receiver Quentin Moore landed on NJ.com's list of Big Central Conference receivers to watch for the 2026 football season, giving Pioneers fans a name to circle as the program enters a new era under first-year head coach Anthony Conzentino.
Moore posted 264 receiving yards and two touchdowns as a junior. NJ.com's Mike Kinney highlighted him in a preview published Wednesday, Aug. 19, spotlighting standout pass-catchers from across Central Jersey heading into the fall.
The preseason attention arrives during a period of change for the Pioneers.
Conzentino is New Providence's new head coach, one of three first-year head coaches in Union County this fall alongside Mike Ryan at Arthur L. Johnson and James Roach at Abraham Clark. He inherits a roster that now includes Moore as one of the conference's recognized receiving threats.
New Providence also shifts into the Patriot Silver Division of the Big Central Conference for 2026 and 2027. The division features A.L. Johnson, Metuchen, Perth Amboy, Roselle and Spotswood, with Perth Amboy and Spotswood joining as new rivals. MyCentralJersey.com published its own Patriot Silver preview on Aug. 19, covering all six teams in the division.
The Pioneers open their season Thursday, Sept. 3, hosting Voorhees at 6:30 p.m. New Providence is one of six Union County teams starting in Week One. The other 11 county programs kick off a week earlier during Week Zero, which runs Aug. 27-29.
