Reeves-Reed Arboretum hosts a daylong wellness fair across its 13.5-acre grounds Saturday, Sept. 26, with rotating classes, local vendors and holistic practitioners spread across the Summit landmark.

The Rooted in Wellness Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 165 Hobart Ave. Admission costs $15 for arboretum members and $25 for non-members. Registration is required. Once registered, attendees receive a link to sign up for individual classes at no extra charge.

Three blocks of classes rotate throughout the day, each held in a different corner of the grounds.

The 11:30 a.m. block opens with yoga led by Bailey Helene Yoga in the Azalea Garden, a sound bath with New Dawn Rising inside Wisner House and a session on boosting immunity with medicinal herbs from Mayernik Kitchen in the amphitheater.

At 12:30 p.m., John Bierne, the arboretum's director of horticulture, leads a horticulture therapy class at the Visitor's Center. Rich Collins, a certified forest therapy guide based in Morristown, leads a forest bathing walk starting at Wisner House. Collins runs the sessions through his company, The Friendly Territory. Summit studio Drench Pilates takes over the Azalea Garden for a 50-minute mat session, and New Dawn Rising offers a second sound bath.

The 1:30 p.m. block brings back yoga in the Azalea Garden with chairs available for seated participants and wheelchairs welcome. Collins leads another forest bathing walk, Mayernik Kitchen presents on medicinal herbs for the nervous system, and Peaceable Nutrition offers a session on nutrition and hormone support starting at 1:45 p.m.

Beyond the classes, a vendor marketplace features handcrafted candles, herbal teas, wellness products and healthy food vendors, according to the arboretum's event listing.

The fair is part of a two-day wellness weekend at the arboretum. A smaller Rooted in Wellness Retreat on Friday, Sept. 25, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is limited to 50 attendees.

The Saturday fair runs rain or shine, with no cancellations. Residents can register at reeves-reedarboretum.org.
