Mosquito spraying targets Summit recycling center Wednesday evening

Union County Mosquito Control will spray for mosquitoes at the Summit Recycling Center on Wednesday evening, Sept. 16, between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The operation is weather-dependent.

The city's website lists a recycling facility called the Transfer Station at 40 New Providence Ave., which appears to be the same site. Residents should call the county to confirm the exact location before heading out.

Summit is one of 15 Union County municipalities included in the county's Sept. 16 spraying notice. The recycling center was also a spray target on Sept. 9, making it a recurring site for the county's mosquito operations this month.
